The return timelines for OG Anunoby (right elbow) and Julius Randle (dislocated right shoulder) remain uncertain, according to recent updates from SNY’s Ian Begley.

Anunoby’s recovery plan will prioritize a cautious approach, as per sources familiar with the situation. While there’s no rush to rush his return, there has been some reported improvement in the irritation in his elbow since Monday, as noted on Tuesday.

Anunoby underwent surgery on Feb. 8 to address a loose particle in his right (shooting) elbow. Although he briefly returned to action last week, playing in three games, he was absent from Monday’s game against the Golden State Warriors, opting instead for an MRI in New York.

The Knicks have enjoyed success with Anunoby on the court this season, boasting an impressive 15-2 record. Since joining the team midseason via a trade from the Toronto Raptors, he has averaged 14.5 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.

Randle has been sidelined since sustaining his shoulder injury on Jan. 27 in a collision with the Miami Heat’s Jaime Jaquez Jr. While initially expected to be re-evaluated in two to three weeks, his return timeline remains uncertain.

As of the recent Kings game, Randle had not been cleared for full-contact practice, though he has been participating in other on-court activities. Despite his extended absence, insiders express confidence in Randle’s eventual return.

Randle’s absence has been significant given his contributions, averaging 24.0 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game, earning him his third All-Star Game selection.

Despite the absence of both Anunoby and Randle, the Knicks are maintaining a strong position, currently sitting fourth in the Eastern Conference with a record of 41-27, following a recent four-game win streak.
